I printed out all the fonts and chose which ones to use for the photos. I didnt choose the top few fonts due to being too simple and not stylised, or i personally felt they wouldnt have worked on the poster. A downside of this experiment is the problem with the white box around the letters, however it did help to see which ones could work. This font here is similar to other fonts i have used, i do like the shapes of the "O" as i could make them look like eyes instead or add a dot in the centre as i have done here.
For the first one i included painting the "Welcomes You!" coming from the branches. i thought the words didn't stand out when hidden in the branches so therefore this style would not work so well for a poster that needs to stand out.
For the next two posters i used a pink sharpie pen to write in the "Welcomes You". This was just to see how well the top font would work with a looser font. If i had an orange pen i would have preferred to use that colour so it ties in with Etolaracs dress. Other than that i also struggled with making the words placement appear natural, it needs a smoother curve around the top of the border so it is not hidden behind it.

I decided the old english times font at the top did not work as it was too heavy on the poster. it also reminds me too much of the newspaper. Additionally, the font used below did not work with the "Welcomes You" as i expected. There needs to be a contrast between the fonts. I tried my best to recreate the font with a pen for the performers name. It isnt perfect. I could use this font for the performers name only, however i dont think using three different fonts on one poster will work as it is too much. Instead i think repeating a similar style to the top font will look more together as it is an additional border around the edge.

For the last experiment i repeated the same font from the top to below and i definitely think this looks better, The pen was dying so it was difficult to get it neat, however i do adore the little lines in the "A" as it adds a curve. I went over the "Welcomes You" with a white pen so the pink acts as a shadow so the different colour does not distract too much. I was quite pleased with this font and placing of the words. However i felt the poster looked a little empty, i added another border around the edge in gold. Adding some gold to the leaves to create a shine and tie them together in the centre. I feel this does work better but may not translate to all other posters. For instance i think this works for Etolarac as she owns the circus so it makes sense for her poster to appear more rich. The border is a little crooked and instead of using black to add the little detail id rather use a darker colour to create shading in the border for the details. Overall i think this works as a basic outline for the posters that can be altered for each performer. I think i will keep to having the centre border with the performer inside, and the placements of the fonts will be kept the same. Other than that i will experiment with shapes, colours and other details.
