Refinements of Final Details: Arrows, Flags, Poster Order etc.

   Panorama of all finished posters lined up together in order. Beginning from right to left to show the process of colourful, eye catching posters to the darker, less detailed. I may swap Gazelle and Luna around as i feel the pink tones between Kaens, Gazelle and Creature need to be broken up, additionally to even out the plain backgrounds to the more detailed one shared between Kaens and Gazelle. Other than that i think it is all quite balanced in colour and the shapes. I repeated the use of shapes to show a connection between the lighter side to the darker. This was also used through colours as i repeated the same colours but made them darker, such as Etoloracs sky blue to Kaens dark blue that begins to invade the orange poster to convey how the posters are changing to reveal the deceit. 

   Between each poster i will place arrows to help direct people in the right direction, also encouraging them to follow more. I will use cardboard and chose the first shape drew below due to the popular use in countryside direction signs, therefore people are already familiar with the use of the arrow and sub consciously recognise to follow it. I will also complete the flags i began to create when making the tent. As drawn above, the will grow in size as they get closer to the tent. For both the flags and arrows, they will mimic the posters colourful order. Beginning with bright colours used in the posters, then getting darker and patchier before turning black and white to match the circus tent stripes. 

I used cardboard from an old shoe box as the inside was already white, making it easier to paint the bright colours on, furthermore not needing to try cover anything with white paint. I measured out the cardboard after cutting off the sides. Deciding to go with 6cm width and 13.5cm length including the point. Due to the amount of space left on the other side of the cardboard i decided to cut them out too in case there is a bigger gap between the posters through my house and especially to navigate round my garden. 

 The other side of the cardboard arrows did cut out slightly bigger but i decided to not cut them down to size as the garden will probably need bigger arrows to be noticeable if placed in any bushed. I could add some holes and string to the arrow to help hang them from a branch if needed.

   At the same time i cut out some paper and painted a couple of more cocktail sticks for the flags. I cut the flag poles to size and proceeded to cut the flag paper down to fit that size also. I was concerned about painting on normal paper but found it to only curl a little, aiding to the flag moving in the wind appearance.
   I glued the flags to the sticks the same method i used for the tent, gluing one end of the flag and rolling the stick into the paper. The arrows and flags mimic each other with beginning with bright colours, to duller and finally black and white.
 From left to right these arrows will be placed between posters as shown in this order. Simultaneously complimenting the posters as the orange arrows will go between Etoloracs sky blue and Lunas bright green.

  Same with the flags starting with smaller bright colours to ending with tall, black n white flags. I think this journey up the little pathway will look pleasing with the flags rising in height behind each other. I also think it conveys how the small bright flags that mimic the bright posters promising fun for all are overshadowed by the cracks in the lies and darker flags.
  Using my black pen and copying the fancier, loose writing i wrote some of the messages i wrote down in the plans from earlier. I decided to stick with the black pen so the messages fade out on the darker colours before disappearing on the last few to convey how they have abandoned the viewer with their lies, as by now they should be blindly following the arrows. With some people possibly questioning why the messages have dropped off and why everything is getting darker/ messier and looking more untrustworthy. Furthermore, i have wrote the last few messages upside down , they still point in the same direction as to not confuse the viewer. The last two messages read on the blue: "You Will Love It" and the patchy purple: "Made Just For You". I think these messages are over promising and sound too personal and targeted, therefore may creep out the viewer on purpose but also shows how people will oversell the lie.

  Last of all i had another go with the fairy lights around the circus tent. This time i attached the wire around the sticks at the bottom, to the flag up top and down the other side. This was still incredibly fidgety with this wire. I am still unsure if i will use it. Once i set up everything for its showing, i will try again as i do also plan to try attache them to the flags up the path, to light up the line before reaching the tent. However, i can not practice this with the flags not being secured in the soil. Therefore i will try again when it is all set up. i think he main issue is how the wire resist to be moulded into another shape. As even here the wire on the right is creating a semi circle upwards instead of down, how lights naturally would sit.

    Finally, i went to YouTube to search for music that i felt would suit the atmosphere when i present my work. Due to be using my phone to take photos and record the process, i will use my mums phone to play the music out loud by the tent. As i am planning to put the tent by bushes i could hide the phone under a bush. Therefore, as the viewer follows the posters the circus music will grow louder, pulling them in and playing into the idea that there is actually something there for them. When i first searched circus music, it sounded cheesy and cartoon like and not at all what i imagined in my mind. I didnt want it to sound creepy as i wanted people to feel welcomed so it fools them. However i searched creepy circus music to see what it sounded like before trying to navigate my way through to find other versions that presented the right balance of circus music i wanted. To my surprise under the name "creepy" i found the sound i was looking for. To me it sounded like normal circus music that wasnt irritating. I found it quite soothing to be honest.

   I did hope to get everything set up today for a final photo shoot. However it has rained and thundered all day preventing me from being able to place my work outside. The weather is apparently going to be the same tomorrow. I am hoping to wake up early and get it all done before it begins to rain. If not i can present my work through my house and set it up all inside. It will just lack the natural setting of being hidden under a dark bush that i wanted, to aid the unwelcoming appearance of the tent. However, despite the weather issue, i am pleased to have completed my work three days ahead of schedule.
